After a Canadian research team opens an inter-dimensional portal known as The Hellgate, they release an army of deadly creatures into the city of Calgary.
The Crisis Response Elite Emergency Preparation Squad [C.R.E.E.P.S] is deployed into the scene to contain the situation, restore power to the city and eliminate all the creatures.
